Join us for a great day of fun and entertainment, with a bit of competition thrown in and try and take the trophy home for the event.
The trophy, which was last up for grabs in 1996 features famous names such as Raymond Chan, Bob Campbell, Sam Weaver, Kevin Judd, Simon Waghorn and David Pearce. Do you want to see your name on it?
Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and also Champagne for Best Dressed Team and Best Team Name. Practice packs (including questions) available from First Class for approx. $200.

Terms & conditions: Teams must contain a minimum of 2 persons based in Marlborough but this is not a trade only event. Limited to just 50 teams. First in first served via First Class entry form. Spectators welcome - you get to taste the 8 wines for $20 at the door, limited to 50-60.

NZ Cabernet Merlot Forum 2008

Hawkes Bay Winegrowers in conjunction with New Zealand Winegrowers are pleased to host the inaugural Cabernet Merlot Forum. Designed as a forum for excellence, sessions will feature case studies, trade perspectives, history and comparative tastings of wines within the Cabernet Merlot category.
An impressive line-up of speakers has been confirmed including James Lawther, celebrated wine writer and Master of Wine; Pete Bissell, Balnaves of Coonawarra and Nick Stock, renowned Australian wine journalist and critic. Joining these international experts are Dr David Jordan, Cameron Douglas MS, Jim Delegat, Steve Smith MW, Tony Forsyth, Peter Cowley to name but a few.

The Marlborough Wine Weekend
The inaugural Marlborough Wine Weekend was a huge success with 300 wine lovers experiencing three days of new release tastings, tours and one-of-a-kind meals with over thirty local winemakers, all within the backdrop of the beautiful Marlborough winegrowing region. The weekend will be held every 2 years with the next being held in 2009.
